What is Digital Out-of-Home Advertising and how do I get Started?
In simplest terms, Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) is the evolution of traditional out-of-home advertising beyond static posters & billboards into digital signage powered by ad tech. It refers to digitally displayed ads accessible to viewers outside their homes, capturing the attention of audiences on the go.
DOOH advertising encompasses a variety of screen types, offering visually stunning, attention-grabbing displays strategically positioned in the high-traffic and high-interest areas where your clients are likely to be. The two main screen types available for advertising are:
- Digital Billboards: Large-scale screens located alongside highways or on major urban roads.
- Retail Displays: Screens located inside or outside retail environments, such as shopping malls, pharmacies, bars, offices, and many more.
Please note that available inventory varies by region and your ad will show based on the inventory in your local area. You will have the opportunity to select the specific screens where your ad will show during the campaign creation process.

After you’re logged in, select + CREATE NEW AD on the left side navigation panel.
You’ll be directed to your Adwerx AdStore where you’ll see all the campaigns available for purchase. Select the Start New Campaign button next to Digital Out-of-Home Ads to begin your campaign setup.
Enter the zip code(s) you’d like to secure to see available digital signs in your local area(s). You can enter as many zip codes as you'd like to target.
You can select a category to view the specific locations for that category and toggle each location or the entire category on or off.
Select your monthly budget and see the approximate number of impressions you can receive within that budget.
Your ad will automatically be created for you and you can now change any part of the ad! Once you’re happy with your design, click Next.
To finish your campaign setup, select your billing plan and enter your payment information.
Review your ad on the right-hand side. Ensure your first name, last name, and email address are correct.
Input your credit card information and click Purchase & Launch Ad.
Your ad will be sent for approval and will launch within 1-2 business days!
