Understanding Plays vs. Views for Video Ads

In the world of video ads, it's important to understand the difference between a "play" and a "view."

View: This indicates that your video has been displayed, but it doesn’t specify how long it was actually watched.

Play: On the web, we count a play when at least 25% of the video has been viewed. For Facebook and Instagram, a play is recorded when the video has been watched for at least 3 seconds.
